K-pop girl group Meovv is preparing to release their first new music since their debut with the upcoming single "Burning Up," according to an announcement from their agency, The Black Label, on Tuesday. The new track represents the group's return to music following the release of their debut EP "My Eyes Open Vvide" in May.

The highly anticipated single is scheduled for release at 6 p.m. and has been characterized by the agency as having an "explosive" and "passionate" sound that will offer listeners a distinctly different experience from the songs featured on their first EP. This marks a significant milestone for the group as they continue to establish their musical identity in the competitive K-pop landscape.

Group member Gawon shared her excitement about the upcoming release, describing "Burning Up" as "the crystal" of fiery energy. She revealed an interesting detail about the creative process, explaining that unlike the songs from their debut album, which the members had heard before their official debut, they experienced "Burning Up" for the first time only after becoming active as Meovv. This unique experience of listening to the song as established artists rather than trainees made Gawon feel "all the more confident about the song."

Fellow member Narin also expressed her enthusiasm for the new single, stating that she aims to showcase a more "raw and free" side of the team through this latest track. Her comments suggest that fans can expect to see a different dimension of Meovv's artistic capabilities and personality through "Burning Up."

Meovv is a five-member girl group that made their official debut in September under The Black Label, the entertainment company led by renowned producer Teddy. The producer has an impressive track record, having created hit songs for some of K-pop's biggest acts including BIGBANG, 2NE1, and BLACKPINK. The group consists of five talented members: Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella, each bringing their unique strengths to the ensemble.
