Sixteen teenage photographers aged 16-18 are presenting their personal perspectives on what truly matters to them through a compelling new photography exhibition now on display at London's Old Street Roundabout. The exhibition, titled "Young London Photographers: Common Ground," features powerful portrait work that explores the people, places, and objects that hold deep significance for these young artists.

The participating students spent their summer months collaborating with professional artists and industry mentors as part of an intensive creative development program. Through this mentorship, they explored fundamental questions about what matters most to teenagers growing up in contemporary London and discovered ways to celebrate their unique individuality through the art of portraiture. The project provided these young photographers with valuable hands-on experience working alongside established professionals in the photography and arts industry.

All sixteen students were participants in the Common Ground project, an innovative initiative specifically designed to support young and emerging artists as they pursue creative careers and gain access to higher education opportunities. The program serves as a bridge between artistic passion and professional development, helping young people transform their creative interests into viable career paths while also preparing them for further academic study in the arts.

The striking results of their summer's work are being displayed on an impressive scale, mounted six meters high on the Old Street Digital Canvas. This prominent outdoor display ensures maximum visibility for the young artists' work in one of London's busiest areas. The exhibition runs from October 20 through November 2, 2025, giving both local residents and visitors ample opportunity to experience these powerful photographic works.

In addition to the physical display at Old Street Roundabout, the complete collection of photographs is also available through a newly launched online gallery hosted on Autograph's official website at www.autograph.org.uk. This digital platform extends the reach of the exhibition beyond London, allowing a global audience to engage with these young photographers' perspectives on growing up in one of the world's most diverse cities.
