The Découvertes association in Pont-Audemer, Eure, has launched its new season offering a comprehensive range of artistic activities including art history classes, painting workshops, and digital photography courses. The organization, which follows the motto "Learn, create, share," provides creative programs for all ages starting from 5-6 years old.

For the 2025-2026 season, the association is introducing several exciting innovations, most notably the region's first art history courses. Magali Pépin, who is passionate about art and trained at the prestigious École du Louvre, will lead these groundbreaking classes. "Her background in art history studies, combined with her educational experience at the Canel Museum as head of public services, has allowed her to develop an approach that is both rigorous and accessible, aimed at making art history attractive and understandable for everyone, regardless of participants' levels and interests," explains Philippe Morisse, president of Découvertes.

The art history classes take place every other Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and are open to participants aged 15 and older. This represents a significant first for Pont-Audemer and potentially the entire region, bringing museum-quality art education directly to the local community.

Additional new offerings this season include painting and drawing classes led by Justine Lemaire on Mondays from 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM. Digital photography sessions, conducted by Gaël Rohée, are scheduled for Fridays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (requiring a minimum of 7 participants for the first trimester) and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM the same day.

The association's regular programming began on Monday, September 8, with a full schedule of activities. For adults and teenagers, painting and drawing workshops are available on Mondays from 3:45 PM to 5:45 PM (for ages 12 and up) and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Pottery and ceramics activities, guided by Séverine Coraichon, are scheduled for Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (adults only). For younger participants, the association offers specialized children's programs including CréaMuse workshops led by Séverine Coraichon and Nathalie Guelton, planned for Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM for children aged 6 and older.

Justine Lemaire also provides painting and drawing sessions specifically designed for children over 5 years old every Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. These programs are designed to nurture creativity and artistic expression in young participants while providing age-appropriate instruction and guidance.

The Découvertes association is located at the Espace culturel du Doult-Vitran, 14 rue du Doult-Vitran, 27500 Pont-Audemer.
