Designed by architects Daniel Zozaya Valdés and Enrique Zozaya of Zozaya Arquitectos, the expansive residence showcases what can be achieved when creative freedom meets exceptional natural setting. Visitors approach Casa Yuri through a lushly landscaped ramp that winds upward from the motor lobby, building anticipation with each step toward the clifftop destination. The home unfolds like a series of architectural discoveries, with each space offering a different perspective on the dramatic oceanfront location.
The residence's most striking feature is its massive palapa, a traditional thatched-roof structure measuring 17 meters across – the largest the firm has ever constructed for a private home. This impressive canopy serves as the heart of daily life, creating a shaded outdoor room where ocean breezes flow freely and the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces dissolve completely. Under the soaring palapa, residents experience simultaneous shelter and complete connection to the sea.
Equally dramatic is the home's cantilevered swimming pool, which appears to float in mid-air as it extends boldly over the rocks below. This architectural feat creates an incredible sensation of being suspended between earth and sky.
