The town hall of Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon will exceptionally open its doors on Saturday, August 16th from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM to showcase the remarkable art exhibition of Vera Braun. Several staff members will be present throughout the day to provide information and guidance to visitors interested in learning more about the displayed works.

Vera Braun (1902-1997), born in Budapest and who died in Saint-Maurice-de-Lignon, left behind an impressive and diverse collection of paintings, engravings, and drawings. Her artistic legacy represents nearly a century of creative expression, spanning from her early years in Hungary to her final days in the French commune.

A carefully selected portion of Braun's extensive artistic collection has been chosen for this special exhibition, marking the first exceptional showcase of her work at the Saint-Maurice town hall. This inaugural exhibition was made possible through the dedicated initiative of Les Amis de Maubourg (The Friends of Maubourg), a local cultural organization committed to promoting artistic heritage in the region.

The comprehensive exhibition runs from July 8th through August 30th, following the regular operating hours of the town hall. Visitors can explore Braun's artistic journey and appreciate her diverse body of work during these scheduled times. Admission to the exhibition is completely free of charge, making this cultural experience accessible to all members of the community and visitors to the area.
