The Korean Cultural Center in the UAE is inviting the public to participate in "Souq Chuseok," a special cultural celebration honoring Korea's traditional mid-autumn harvest festival. The event promises to showcase the rich flavors and vibrant traditions of Korean culture through an immersive experience featuring authentic food tastings, interactive workshops, and traditional games.

Scheduled for October 2nd from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the festivities will take place at the Multipurpose Hall of the Korean Cultural Center located in YAS. The evening will begin with an extensive food tasting and cooking demonstration from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, where participants can sample and learn to prepare traditional Korean dishes including bibimbap and jeon (Korean pancakes).

A highlight of the evening will be the Songpyeon making workshop, running from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Songpyeon, the traditional half-moon shaped rice cakes that are synonymous with Chuseok celebrations, will be crafted by participants under expert guidance. This hands-on workshop requires separate registration and includes a modest co-payment of 30 AED, while all other activities remain free of charge.

The celebration will conclude with traditional Korean group games from 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM, providing attendees with an authentic taste of how Korean families traditionally celebrate this important holiday. These interactive activities are designed to bring people together in the spirit of community that defines the Chuseok festival.

Registration for the event is required and will be open from September 19th through September 29th, with confirmation emails being sent on September 30th. Interested participants can register through the provided Google Forms link at https://forms.gle/2K5iomMENouw1WyJ7. Due to limited space availability, early registration is encouraged.

Organizers have noted several important guidelines for attendees. Advance reservation is mandatory due to space constraints, and unexcused absences may impact future participation opportunities. Additionally, the Korean Cultural Center reserves the right to photograph and record the event for promotional purposes. The center looks forward to welcoming community members for an evening filled with cultural exchange and festive celebration of one of Korea's most cherished traditions.
