The Korean Cultural Centre South Africa is launching the final term of its K-Pop Academy for 2025, offering dance enthusiasts and aspiring performers another opportunity to learn the latest Korean pop choreography. The program, scheduled to run from September 23 through November 13, 2025, welcomes participants aged 13 and above to join skilled instructors in mastering K-pop dance moves while connecting with fellow fans who share their passion for Korean pop culture.

The academy will be held at the Korean Cultural Centre SA, located at 267 Waterkloof Road in Brooklyn, Pretoria. Classes are structured to accommodate different skill levels and preferences, with separate sessions for girl group and boy group choreography. The Girl Group Choreography classes include an Intermediate level on Tuesdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by an Advanced class from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM on the same day.

For those interested in boy group choreography, the schedule offers an Intermediate class on Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with an Advanced session running from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. This structured approach allows students to progress at their own pace while focusing on their preferred style of K-pop performance.

Prospective participants should note that those who did not attend K-Pop Academy Term 1 will need to submit an audition video for consideration. The audition requirements are straightforward: applicants must create a video lasting between 30 seconds and one minute, featuring any K-pop song of their choice. This ensures that new students can demonstrate their current skill level and passion for K-pop dance.

One of the most appealing aspects of the program is that participation is completely free of charge, making K-pop dance education accessible to a wider audience. Registration is required and can be completed through an online form. Those interested in joining the academy or seeking additional information can contact the Korean Cultural Centre at 012 001 9204 or visit their website at kccsa@korea.kr for further details about the program and enrollment process.
