The Samian Dormitory Office Building, designed by Ashari Architects, represents a contemporary approach to administrative architecture within Iran's educational landscape. Located on the elevated grounds of Shiraz University, this 250-square-meter office building serves as the administrative center for the student dormitory complex, offering panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.

Completed in 2024 under the direction of lead architect AmirHossein Ashari, the project demonstrates how modern architectural principles can be adapted to Iran's climate and cultural context. The building's strategic positioning adjacent to student residences creates a functional hub that connects administrative services with residential facilities, enhancing the overall campus experience for students and staff.

The design process involved a collaborative effort between multiple specialists, including design team members Zahra Jafari, Mahsa Parhizgar, and Mohammad Mohajeri. Technical coordination was handled by Mohammad Zaalpour, while Sara Nazemi contributed graphic design elements. The structural engineering was provided by Talayedaran Sanat Engineers Company, ensuring the building meets all safety and durability standards required for institutional use.

Construction oversight was managed by project manager HamidReza Valizade and construction supervisor Reza Shekohian, with coordination support from Hiva Nazarboland and Asma Sirjani Asl. The project was commissioned by the Nasuti Fard Foundation, with Mehdi Nasuti Fard and Reza Moghadasi Fard serving as clients, reflecting the private sector's investment in educational infrastructure development.

The building incorporates locally sourced materials, including Shahrzad Brick, which connects the structure to regional architectural traditions while maintaining a contemporary aesthetic. Professional photography by Navid Atrvash captures the building's integration with its mountainous backdrop and urban setting, highlighting how the design responds to Shiraz's unique geographical context.

This project exemplifies the growing sophistication of Iranian architectural practice, where traditional building techniques meet modern functional requirements. The Samian Dormitory Office Building stands as a testament to the country's evolving educational infrastructure and the role of thoughtful design in creating spaces that serve both practical and aesthetic purposes within university campuses.
