The first Tennessee structure to make the unflattering list was the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum, which landed at number 46 out of the 100 buildings surveyed. This venue, which has served as a significant entertainment and event space for the Knoxville community, found itself among the structures deemed least appealing by survey participants.
The second Tennessee building to receive this dubious distinction was the Nashville Metro Courthouse, which appeared at the very bottom of the list at number 100. Despite being the seat of justice for Tennessee's capital city, the courthouse's architectural design apparently failed to impress the survey respondents who evaluated buildings from across the nation.
