New Paint-Throwing Venue 'Let's Spray' Opens in Le Havre for Stress Relief

A unique new establishment has opened in Le Havre's Saint-François district, offering visitors an unconventional way to blow off steam: throwing paint at walls. The venue, called Let's Spray, represents a novel concept where participants can unleash their stress by splattering paint in a controlled environment.

The business is owned and operated by Cyril Tasse, a professional graffiti artist who already runs his company Sprayvisions. The idea for Let's Spray came to him during a bachelorette party where he was conducting a workshop. "While the bride was working on her canvas, I had to provide an activity for the other participants. I gave them a canvas and for two hours, I watched them have much more fun than the bride! That gave me the idea," explained the Le Havre resident.

After identifying the business opportunity, Tasse quickly searched for a suitable location and settled on a former computer store on Dauphine Street, covering 25 square meters. Following three weeks of renovations, the space has been transformed to include a designated "stress relief" area and a separate space for changing clothes and washing up.

The concept is straightforward: groups of approximately 10 participants throw paint, either acrylic or spray paint, onto canvases displayed on the walls. "The walls will also get paint splatters and that's what's cool about it," enthused the graffiti artist. He emphasized that the paint used is non-toxic and water-soluble, making cleanup easier and ensuring safety for participants.

Each session lasts 1.5 hours, which includes 15 minutes for changing into protective gear and listening to safety instructions. Participants are provided with protective uniforms, shoe covers, and safety glasses. After a 24-hour drying period, participants can take home their paint-splattered canvases as souvenirs of their experience.

Tasse has ambitious plans for expanding the concept, including organizing bachelorette parties and one-on-one paint battles. The venue operates on Wednesdays afternoons and Saturdays, with reservations required exclusively online. Pricing is set at 25 euros per person for the acrylic paint package and 35 euros for the combination acrylic and spray paint package.

Let's Spray is located at 16 Dauphine Street and represents part of a growing trend of alternative entertainment venues that offer creative outlets for stress relief, similar to axe-throwing establishments that have gained popularity in recent years.
