A prestigious wildlife photography exhibition featuring stunning images from around the globe has opened at Jersey Zoo, showcasing the work of photographers from 117 different countries. The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, now celebrating its 60th anniversary, is currently on display at the zoo's Durrell Discovery Centre after being loaned from the Natural History Museum in London.
This year's competition attracted an impressive 59,228 entries from photographers of all ages and skill levels, representing a diverse range of wildlife photography from across the world. The exhibition features breathtaking images that capture the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife in their natural habitats, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience nature through the lens of talented photographers.
Rebecca Brewer, CEO of Durrell, expressed her enthusiasm about hosting the renowned exhibition once again. "We're really excited to have Wildlife Photographer of the Year return to Jersey Zoo again this year," Brewer stated.
