Swiss media company 20 Minuten has unveiled a modernized logo featuring a brighter, fresher shade of blue as part of its comprehensive digital redesign. The updated logo represents the first major refresh since 2013 and has been specifically optimized for digital screen displays across various platforms.

The new design includes several notable changes from the previous version. The word "Minuten" has been repositioned from directly below the numbers to alongside the "20," creating a more streamlined appearance. Despite these modifications, the company has retained its iconic digital font, which provides strong brand recognition value that has become synonymous with the publication over its 26-year history.

While the digital platforms will immediately feature the new logo, the print newspaper will continue using the current design until its final edition in December. The updated logo's design makes it significantly more versatile for digital applications and provides enhanced visual impact across online platforms. The sharp edges from the previous version have been rounded, allowing for seamless integration into the digital environment.

The logo's perspectival design serves as a defining graphic element throughout all levels of the product, ensuring high recognition value across different media formats. This isn't the first time 20 Minuten has updated its visual identity during its quarter-century existence. The perspectival form was first introduced in May 2013, along with slight adjustments to the color tone.

The logo refresh is part of a broader "New Era" initiative at 20 Minuten, which includes comprehensive redesigns of both the mobile app and website. CEO Bernhard Brechbühl has emphasized this transformation as entering a new era for the publication, while publisher Pietro Supino has commented on the company's new claim "Reading makes you sexy." The company continues to expand its digital presence, including regular updates through its WhatsApp channel, which provides morning and evening news overviews, surprising stories, and breaking news directly to subscribers' mobile devices.
