Sayart / Oct 25, 2025

The new art space located at Herrenstraße 5 in Rastatt is currently bustling with renovation work and setup activities as organizers prepare for the first exhibition scheduled to launch in December. The ambitious project represents a transformation from the former Galerie Kunstraum into a new nonprofit organization called Kunstraum.

Extensive renovation and interior design work is currently underway at the facility, with the main organizers actively involved in hands-on preparation. The dedicated team responsible for bringing this vision to life includes Birgit Gerlicher, Oliver Hurst, Harald Hemprich, and Sabine Neyheusel, who are all working diligently to transform the space according to their artistic vision.

The organizers have developed numerous ambitious plans and ideas for the new art space, which will operate as a nonprofit association. This change in structure from the previous gallery format reflects their commitment to serving the community and promoting arts accessibility in the region.

Before they can implement their extensive list of creative concepts and programming ideas, the main representatives must continue their intensive preparation work. The team is putting significant effort into ensuring that every detail is properly addressed before the venue's inaugural exhibition opens to the public in December.
