Lee Kang-in secured the 2023-24 Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain after AS Monaco's defeat to Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday. This marked a historic moment as Lee became the first Korean player to win the French league title.
Paris Saint-Germain held a 12-point lead at the top of the league table following their 3-3 draw with Le Havre on Saturday. Monaco's loss the following day confirmed PSG's 12th league title with three fixtures remaining in the season.

This victory marks Lee's first league title in his career, adding to the Trophee des Champions won by PSG in January, the French equivalent of England’s Community Shield. Lee, 23, started his career at Valencia in 2018 before moving to Mallorca in 2021.
Known for his versatility and fancy footwork, Lee has been a fan favorite and seen as the future of Korean football since his early years. He has also been a regular pick for the Korean national team, earning 25 caps since his senior debut in 2019.
Lee earned military exemption last fall by winning a gold medal at the Hangzhou Asian Games with the U-23 national team, allowing him to continue his career at PSG uninterrupted.
Paris Saint-Germain remains in contention for further silverware this season, with upcoming matches in the Champions League and Coupe de France final against Lyon on May 25. They face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semifinals with the first leg scheduled in Germany on Wednesday.
